Article quotes 2 to 8 weeks. West Elm regularly runs 10 to 16 weeks for in-stock items. Crate and Barrel custom upholstery is 12 to 16 weeks. Anabei's standard timeline is 4 to 6 weeks. RH is famously 12 to 20 weeks for almost anything. The industry has trained customers to wait three months for a couch, and most people just accept it because they don't know there's another way.

Why most furniture delivery is so slow
The 12-week wait isn't really about manufacturing. The factories that make sofas can produce them quickly. The bottleneck is the supply chain.
Most brands order furniture from overseas in batches, ship it across the Pacific (3 to 5 weeks at sea), unload it at a port, truck it to a regional warehouse, and then truck it again to a local fulfillment center near you. By the time the couch reaches your door, it's been on three or four legs of a global logistics journey.
Add to that the fact that most national brands rely on third-party freight carriers for the final mile. Those carriers schedule on their own timeline, deliver in massive 4-hour windows, and often drop the sofa at your curb (or in your garage if you're lucky) without setup. If you can't be home Tuesday between 12 and 4, you reschedule for next week.
That's the system most furniture buyers have come to accept as normal. It doesn't have to be.
How Aspen Nest delivers in 2 days
We do a few things differently that collapse the timeline.
Local inventory. We keep stock of every Aspen Cloud configuration in our Denver-area warehouse. When you order, we're not waiting for a container to clear customs. We're loading a truck a day or two later from a building that's a 20-minute drive from your house.
Our own delivery team. Most furniture brands hand the final mile to a freight broker who hires the cheapest carrier available. We deliver ourselves, with a small dedicated team that knows the product inside and out. That means real assembly help if you want it, real care for your floors and walls, and real accountability if anything goes sideways.
Direct routing. Because our entire service area is the Denver metro and the Front Range, we don't have to coordinate across regions. A truck leaves our warehouse in the morning, makes its scheduled stops, and is back the same afternoon. There's no transfer hub, no regional dispatcher, no 4-hour window because someone in another state didn't update the route.
The result is that most orders placed before 2pm are delivered within 48 hours. Some are delivered the same day if the schedule allows. None of them take three months.
What flexible scheduling actually means

When you place an order, you'll get a call or text from our team to schedule your delivery. We work in 2-hour windows, not whole-day windows. We offer 10-5 pm delivery Monday through Thursday at a time that works best for you. We confirm in the morning of delivery day, and text when the truck is on the way. If something comes up on your end and you need to reschedule, you reschedule, no penalty and no hassle.
For customers in Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Golden, Lakewood, Edgewater, and central Denver, we can often offer next-day delivery. For Boulder, Longmont, Aurora, Centennial, Highlands Ranch, and the south metro, 2 days is standard. For Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, and the further Front Range, we typically deliver within 3 to 5 days, depending on routing.
What to expect on delivery day
When our team arrives, we don't just drop the sectional at your door. The standard Aspen Nest delivery includes:
Carry-in to your room of choice. Up the stairs, around the corner, into the basement, wherever the sofa is going. We figure out the path before we start moving anything heavy.
Full assembly. The Aspen Cloud is modular, so the pieces connect with hardware as we set it up. We do this for you, in the configuration you ordered, and adjust the layout if you want it positioned differently than you originally imagined.
Packaging removal. We take the cardboard, the foam blocks, the plastic, and any other packaging with us. You get a finished, set-up sectional in your living room and zero cleanup.
Floor and wall protection. Our team uses moving blankets and corner guards. We've delivered into 100-year-old Wash Park bungalows with original hardwood floors and brand-new builds in Stapleton with delicate paint. We treat your space like our own.
The whole process usually takes 30 to 60 minutes from the time we knock on your door to the time we're driving away with the trash.

We also deliver to Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, Evergreen, Conifer, and most other Front Range communities, typically within 3 to 5 days.
If you're outside the Front Range but still in Colorado, reach out and we'll quote a custom timeline. We've delivered to Vail, Steamboat, Crested Butte, Telluride, and most of the mountain towns. It just takes a little more coordination.
